For over a decade, Strung Out have broken barriers, exceeded goals, and reinvented themselves to remain one of the most crucial bands in punk rock. Releasing 8 albums on Fat Wreck Chords and over 11 successful world tours, they have remained one of the hardest working and consistent bands on the planet. Don’t miss them live at The Bottleneck on October 23rd.
The Briggs are heading north at they continue their nationwide tour in support of their latest release Back to Higher Ground. They'll be taking to the stage at the Dragonfly Club in Harrisburgh the 16th, the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale the 19th, Dingbatz in Clifton Friday night, and Club Diablo in Buffalo Saturday.
These gritty punk rockers put to rest any thoughts of selling out with outstanding old school style punk anthems like "Bored Teenager," "Keep Us Alive," and "Song for Us." Overall their style is an infectious concoction of rock, punk, oi!, folk and reggae. Check them out at The Briggs.

If you know anything about The Smiths you’ll know from this band’s name that they’re a Smith Tribute band, and a very good one at that. Based out of San Francisco, this 5 piece plays nothing but Smiths and Morrisey covers. Orlandissy takes the helm as the Morrissey front man, sounding and moving just as Moz does.
They played an hour and a half set that covered everything from How Soon is Now to Boy With the Thorn in His Side. The newly remodeled Boardners outdoor stage was packed with fans of the Smiths, who knew every song, without a care that this wasn’t the real thing. These guys nailed it and had a good time doing it too. Next time This Charming Band is in your area go see them whether you're a Smiths fan or not.
